Last Night of The Proms

PROMS NIGHT RETURNS TO
THE ELIZABETHAN CENTRE

After a 2 year wait, due to lockdown, Last Night of The Proms finally returned to Whaplode Drove on Saturday 18th September.

We were so pleased to welcome Kirton Brass Band under the leadership of the wonderfully entertaining Andy Scott who led the band in front of a full house.

We had a great time both listening to the splendid performances as well as singing along to those tried and tested Proms favourite. There were very few dry eyes in the house following the moving poem and music score, 'In Flanders Fields', written and composed in memory of those who fell in Belgium in WW1.

We are very pleased to have received a great deal of help from committee members, friends of the club and local businesses who kindly donated prizes for the raffle.

We are excited to announce that Andy and the band will return on the 18th December for our 'Absolute Christmas' concert and disco!!
